For Namesake is the latest project released from acclaimed Detroit artist NameTag & his producer Nameless. This release form he Motor City duo is nothing short of Extraordinary and refreshing, breathing new life back into the rap game while paying homage to the groundwork that many legends in the game laid. The combination of cleaver wordplay & heavy punchline fueled rhymes from NameTag, and eclectic hard hitting beats from producer Nameless, this entire project elevates itself from rap album to an addictive head nodding and true to form Hip Hop  experience.

In the area of features NameTag was not shy about calling in some true next level talent with appearances from a couple Detroit legends, Miz Korona who is feature on ” Reaction”, Guilty Simpson on “Raw, Dirty, Filth”. and his blood cousin Black Milk on “OxyMoron.” With serious features such as this Nametag does more than hold his own he skillfully matches bar for bar & makes his presence felt. He also enlisted the lyrical prowess of his younger cousin and fellow up and coming Detroit artist M.A.H.D on the songs “Notchos” & one of the first singles from the album titled “HookLess”, where these two effortless assault the beat with viscous lyrical punches essentially letting other artist in the game know that they are hear to make a statement. He lastly called on young Detroit Vocalist Chell to help lay the smooth melodies over the “Teacher”  where Nametag gives a deep introspective tale of loosing his mother to breast cancer and his trained relationship with his father who battles drug addiction, ultimately resulting in a deep heartfelt song that is sure to touch the souls of those who listen.

Overall this project is highly refreshing, innovative, and is a much needed fresh change of pace to true fans of Great Hip Hop Music that is sure to easily  become and instant favorite with many listeners as it has to me. You can find any and all artist information about Nametag on his website http://www.itsnametag.com  and check out one  of his latest video resales below, “HookLess” Ft. M.A.H.D

boston-marathon-explosion-bombs-2013-570x760Today during one of the most historic races in a America, two explosions rocked the Boston Marathon, in Boston, MA. causing more than 144 injuries and leaving 3 dead including spectators and racers. Preliminary witness reports hearing two separate explosions near the finish line of the marathon about 15 seconds apart form each other as many of the racers were preparing to finish the race. Emergency responders are on the seen attending to all who were injured. Right now FBI investigators and law enforcement officials are investigating to determine the cause of the explosions and they have not yet released a statement about the definite cause of the incident, and they have neither confirmed nor denied whether this was a planned bombing or unfortunate explosion due to some type of unforeseen infrastructure failure.  Currently counter terrorism units are seen working with local and federal officials to help determine the cause of the incident as well.  Vice President Joe Biden has released a statement stating ” That his office has just been made aware of the incidents and that the thoughts and prayers of himself and his office are with all of those effected and they are waiting on information about the cause of the explosions as well.  My thoughts and prayers are with not only the city of Boston but also to the families of all of those who are effected. This is truly a confusing and perplexing turn of events and I am cannot wrap my mind round what could potentially be the motivation behind this incident and I will be keeping a close eye on events and actions not only surrounding this incident but events to come.
